Symposium overview
The Symposium on Health Communication provides individuals with information on and strategies for sharing health and medical information with different persons and communities.
Topics Sessions cover a range of topics associated with effective health and medical communication, and presenters provide information on how to
Create effective materials for sharing health and medical information
Discuss different health and medical topics with different persons and populations
Determine the best methods for sharing health and medical information with different groups
Evaluate the materials used to share health and medical information with others
The objective of each session is to provide attendees with the beginning knowledge needed to convey health and medical information effectively to different persons and audiences.
Structure Presentations are designed to encourage discussion. For this reason, each presenter will speak for 20-30 minutes followed by 15-20 minutes for question and answer or discussion.
Attendance Sessions are open for all to attend, and individuals do not need to have a background in health or medicine or communication to participate in the Symposium.
